What Is Expiroo?
Expiroo is a food expiry tracker for everything in your fridge, freezer, and pantry. Instead of guessing what is about to go bad, you get a clear picture of what you have and what needs to be used first.
Here is what it does.
Track Expiry Dates at a Glance
Add each product with its expiry date and Expiroo keeps an organized inventory of your kitchen. The home screen shows what is fresh, what is running out, and what has already expired — so nothing hides at the back of the shelf until it is too late.
Scan a Barcode to Add Products Fast
Adding items should not feel like a chore. Point your camera at a product’s barcode and Expiroo autofills the product for you, so you can log a full grocery haul in a couple of minutes instead of typing every name by hand.
Get Reminders Before Food Expires
Expiroo sends you expiry reminders at 7, 3, 1, and 0 days before a product goes bad. That gives you enough warning to actually cook with it, freeze it, or plan a meal around it — instead of finding out after the fact.
See Urgency with a Traffic-Light View
Every item is color-coded by urgency, like a traffic light: green for plenty of time, amber for “use this soon”, and red for expired or about to expire. One look tells you what to eat tonight.
Organize by Location and Category
Sort your inventory by storage location — fridge, freezer, pantry, and any others you add — and by your own categories. It matches how your kitchen is actually arranged, so finding an item is quick.
Understand Your Waste
Expiroo includes a waste report so you can see what you actually used versus what you had to throw away. Over time it becomes a simple mirror of your habits — and a nudge to buy a little smarter.
Local-First, No Account, Offline
Expiroo is built to be simple and to respect your time. There is no sign-up wall, no login, and no waiting on a server. Your product list stays on your device, and the core experience works with no connection at all.
Like most free apps, Expiroo shows ads and uses analytics/crash reporting (standard advertising and diagnostic identifiers). What stays local is your inventory.

How to Join the Closed Beta
Expiroo is currently in closed beta on Google Play with limited spots. To get in, follow these three steps in order:
- Join the testers group — go to groups.google.com/g/expiroo-testers and join the group with the Google account you use on your phone.
- Open the opt-in link — accept the invite on the Google Play testing page.
- Install Expiroo — once you are approved as a tester, download Expiroo from Google Play.
The order matters: the install link only works after you have joined the group and opted in. If the store shows “item not found”, it usually means step 1 or step 2 has not finished processing yet — give it a few minutes and try again.
Why We Built Expiroo
Most food does not get wasted because people do not care — it gets wasted because it is easy to lose track of. Dates are printed in tiny type, items get pushed to the back, and by the time you remember them they are gone.
We wanted something that takes seconds per product and then quietly reminds you at the right moment. That is Expiroo: less spoiled food, less money in the bin, and a fridge you actually understand.
